In a phone conversation with my parents last night, my dad cracked that it took him a "year" to grow a mustache. Since I have his genes, the fact that I'm seeing some growth on day 4 is encouraging!

The annual Movember campaign kicked off yesterday, and I'm thrilled to be a part of it! I'll be joining forces with the other Team Austin members as we raise funds to fight men's cancers.

The "rules" of Movember also include growing out a mustache -- or a "mo," as it's called in Australia -- to draw attention to our cause. So, throughout the month, I'll be charting my "mo growth" here on the blog.
